Christmas Programs

Brantford & Brant County

Community and Family Services serves the needs of individuals and families in the Brantford community in a variety of ways, including overseeing Christmas events. This includes our Christmas Kettle Drive, donation letter distribution, participation in the Brantford Santa Claus Parade, as well as holiday food baskets and toys for local families in need..

Christmas Assistance

The Christmas Hamper and Toy Program offers a gift of food (gift cards for Presidents Choice) for people in need at Christmas. The Gift Card allows individuals and families the choice of what foods they would like for their Christmas Dinner.

Individuals with children 9 years and under will receive a new toy. Children who are 10 to 13 years will receive a gift card. Registration is held in November and part of December. Gift Cards, produce and toys are distributed a week before Christmas.

Our 2018 registration dates are as follows:

November 14th, 15th, 21st, 22nd, 28th, 29th

December 5th, 6th and 7th.

With that being said, the deadline to apply for Christmas Assistance this year is December 7th.

Registration will be at 33 Diana Avenue from 9:00 AM- 4:00 PM. You must provide ID for all members of the household along with proof of income for all adult members of the household and proof of address upon registration. If you do not have these things, we cannot complete an application until we have all of that information.
