Sunday School

The Salvation Army believes in the value of Sunday School and Christian Education which reflect the accurate teachings of God's Word. It is upon that Word that individuals and families find a foundation for living. Sunday School runs from September until June.

Sunday School meets each Sunday during the Church Sermon during the Family Worship Service. Children aged 5 to 10, learn together under the leadership of the Children and Youth Coordinator with a team of vibrant dedicated fun loving adventurous volunteer youth workers being run under the Children and Youth Coordinator. The classes include Bible Based discussion and activity lessons.

Both the Children and Youth Coordinator as well as the volunteer youth workers think outside the box to help children see the relevance of Christ in their life and the need to grow spiritually, as they grow physically."

All Sunday School & Nursery volunteers have current police checks and Salvation Army Abuse Prevention Training.

The current curriculum is from "The Story," learning about God's story and how his story impacts our story. The kids learn about "The Story" using various approaches including reading, listening, interactive play/game, crafts, etc. They learn to engage with the material in an age appropriate way. They are also encouraged to participate in answering questions, listening, etc.
