Timbrel Brigade

The Timbrel Brigade is a very unique group. Playing the timbrel to praise God goes back to Miriam in the book of Exodus. In the Salvation Army it was common in the past to see and hear the tambourine used to accompany singing in the Open Air services. Brantford Corps’ Timbrel Brigade has been on hiatus for several years, and Lindsay is excited to get it started again.

We use Salvation Army music (mostly band marches) and other Christian music as our accompaniment to rhythms and actions we learn with the tambourine. Think of it almost as baton twirling with a message! The group is open to anyone 7 and up no former experience required. Rehearsals will be starting in October on Tuesdays from 6-6:30 PM at the Corps. Please contact Lindsay or the Corps office for more details.

See the Calendar page for our next meeting.
